STYLE GURU BIO: Tenley Sanduski

Hey Fashionistas/os! My name is Tenley and I am a freshman at Clemson University majoring in Communications. I am so excited to begin my internship with CollegeFashionista, but even more excited to share my love of fashion with all of you!

Since I can remember, I have had a (sometimes obsessive) love of clothes. My style has evolved from wearing little pink plastic heels and tiaras as a kid, to skinny jeans and sweaters in, the almost always chilly, Wisconsin. Now it’s changing once again as I begin my adventure in the heat of the South. Rompers, sundresses and shorts are my new staples. It’s been so much fun already to observe the differences in styles from back home to down here. Dressing up is more the norm, which has forced me to step up my game and fight against my lazy girl tendencies. Thats’s not to say I haven’t pulled out my Norts (apparently the cool way to say Nike shorts) and big, comfy T-shirts, because that look is also a huge trend I’ve noticed down here.

Growing up with two sisters and (an always stylish) mom, I got used to having three extra closets to pull from. Our open door closet policy has definitely played a role in shaping my current style. I have an edgy side thanks to my my middle sister, Cori, a sweet playful side thanks to my oldest sister, Paige, and a classic side thanks to my wonderful mama! All of these together, mixed with my love of everything girly and trendy, create a style that is perfectly me and represents many facets of my life.

In this look, I’m wearing my new favorite article of clothing (a romper) from Urban Outfitters that I paired with a classic jean jacket, some gladiator-esque sandals, simple jewelry and my Lauren by Ralph Lauren cross-body bag similar to this one.

Thanks for reading, and I can’t wait to have a #RAD semester with all of you!
