STYLE GURU BIO: Savannah Rehr

Hello Fashionista/os! My name is Savannah Rehr and I am a senior at Illinois State University, studying Fashion Merchandising and Psychology. I am extremely thrilled to continue sharing my articles with you as a second semester Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this Fall!

Learning about fashion has always been a major passion of mine. I love giving advice, writing and reading about fashion. After graduation, I hope to move to Los Angeles working as a visual merchandiser because I have always had an eye for detail especially when it comes to fashion. My style varies depending on my mood, but I love to mix it up. One day you could see me wearing a flirty dress with Steve Maddens and another day I could be wearing Express jeans, a statement top and combat boots. Making an entrance is something I have a knack for, and I ensure that people remember me for my impeccable style.

I love traveling, and I am proud to say that I have been to every state in the United States. I would love to travel to Europe and experience the trends and cultures in countries like France, Italy, Greece and Spain. When I am not daydreaming about traveling, I am working out, shopping or completing work at Starbucks with a caramel macchiato in hand. I am a fiercely independent woman who is always doing something because I would be bored if I wasn’t busy.

My fashion idol is Alexander McQueen because of his reason for designing clothes. He wanted women to look fierce and strong; he wanted men to be afraid of the women he dressed. His mission is one that I plan on continuing as a Style Guru this fall. My goal is to capture the strength and fierceness of women, and show men that women are to be feared, not taken advantage of.

Look for my articles on the 15th of every month this semester as I capture the flawless styles of women around the campus of Illinois State University. Enjoy!
