STYLE GURU BIO: Sara Cruz

Hey, everyone! My name is Sara. I am a senior at Virginia Tech, and I am double majoring in international studies and Spanish. I may be slightly obsessed with fashion and have been ever since I yelled at my mom for not letting me pick out my own clothes at the age of four years old. I’m extremely excited to start my last semester at Virginia Tech writing for CollegeFashionista and have an outlet to showcase some awesome peeps.

My favorite part about fashion is the ability to make it completely your own. It’s truly a way to express yourself when you really don’t have the words to do so. I love being able to combine pieces or looks that I find and switch it up a bit to fit my wardrobe. I think the idea of the endless possibilities is what excites me about fashion. The idea that nothing is set in stone and your style is completely your own.

I’m the type of person that finds random pieces from online shops or little boutiques and tries to make something work from it. I love knowing that something I have is unique and may stand out. For this look, I am wearing my ultimate favorite jean jacket that I found in Charleston, South Carolina at this boutique called Shailow (I swear it was fate). The details on the back are my favorite part. I paired it with a simple black T-shirt and black AG skinny jeans. I finished the look with a double black belt from Urban Outfitters and black booties.

Glad I got to show you one of my looks!
