STYLE GURU BIO: Rylee Armold

Hi fellow fashion lovers! My name is Rylee. I am currently starting my senior year at Kent State University, where I am studying fashion merchandising with minors in marketing and entrepreneurship. My love for fashion has only grown over the years and it something I am truly passionate about. Writing for CollegeFashionista has become one of my favorite things to do and I am thrilled to say I have been doing it for three semesters now.

I truly believe fashion is a way to express yourself without the use of words. I have realized fashion is the way I show people who I truly am. I love following trends and seeing what people are wearing during each season, but I also think it is cool to see people with a unique style, who don’t follow what everyone else is wearing. I think that is the best part about fashion—it varies from person to person, constantly changing from year to year.

I truly take pride in shopping, whether it is from finding a one of a kind item or getting the best deal. While lately I have been trying to minimize my shopping trips, I have been more focused on finding everlasting items.

If I had to describe my style, it would definitely be more of an urban, edgy look. This season I have been obsessed with jackets, especially oversized. The main focus of this outfit was the distressed, ripped denim jacket. To make the jacket the focus, I decided to wear all black underneath. Bodysuits are the perfect way to make an outfit look effortless, yet feminine. Also, I always think a simple ripped pair of black jeans is a need for any young woman’s closet. My favorite part of my outfit are my leather boots. These boots were my favorite souvenir from my recent semester abroad in Florence, Italy.

I hope you all enjoy my articles this semester!
