STYLE GURU BIO: Ronald Amiscaray

September 4th, 2015 at 2:00am

Greetings and welcome!

I am so happy to announce that this is my second semester with CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru! I am ecstatic to go forward in my dream and work in the world of fashion and style!

Now, since it is my second time around writing a Style Guru Bio (you can connect to my first one here), I will take you further into my fashion-obsessed world. Let’s start with what you are seeing at the moment! In the photos above, I am wearing a basic green crewneck sweater, navy blue skinny pants, my favorite Union Jack socks, white Converse sneakers and a black cape (a spring/fall fashion staple and statement piece in my wardrobe). My favorite piece has to be the black cape because it finishes the look and adds flow and flare. College fashion means fashion on a budget, but splurges are not a closed door for me and I am not afraid to buy the piece that will give me that personal flair. This leads me to my own fashion taste.

In my last bio, I explained how women’s fashion inspires me, as it still does. But even more so, fashion that is not commonplace or different in its own extraordinary way influences me. It just so happens that fashion designers around the world exploring the uncommon are meshing feminine and masculine fashion styles together, and I am enjoying every moment of it! This is my fashion taste, a street-style meets the runway kind of look. Do not go thinking that I exude this style every day, though. Like I said, college fashion is fashion on a budget, but the splurges allow my taste to come out every now and then.

I hope that you, the reader, are not just exploring my taste in fashion but also your own taste in fashion. As I explore the style and fashion corners of Chicago and Loyola University even more, my goal is that you are also exploring them with me through these blog posts and learning something about your aesthetic as much as I am.

Fashion is ever-changing, style is constant and our ability to style in fashion continues to evolve. I can’t wait to grow with all of you! Stay tuned, Fashionistas and Fashionistos!
