STYLE GURU BIO: Nyla Fuller

Welcome to a new school year Fashionistas/os! I am back once again for another semester with CollegeFashionista, bringing you the most stylish students at Ball State University. I am currently a senior studying Public Relations and Fashion, I’m the girl with the great winged eyeliner that shows up late to class (I’m kidding, I don’t do that). I am also a member of the sorority Alpha Gamma Delta and am loving every minute of it!

I have rarely been the girl that follows the trends. I do pay mind to what’s “in” and what’s not, but I do not go through the day wondering if anyone will notice that I’m carrying last season’s kate spade bag. I have always had trouble trying to define my style. Just think edgy-chic-rock star-hipster Fashionista and you have my closet! You might find me in a black, backless dress and a pair of beat-up Converse All-Stars on a good night but I like to live by the quote that Tom Ford once said: “Dressing well is a form of good manners.” So if you every see me in my sweats from high school, I must be having a really rough day!

I am totally in love with the trends that are showing up this fall! The ’70s look is back and I’m just loving it, from flare jeans, fringe and colorful vintage looking floral print. I think that my weird style combinations are what makes fashion so much fun for me! I enjoy waking up early and getting all dressed up for class—yes, I’m that girl but it’s just how I like to start my day!

Wow, it’s hard to believe that I have been a Style Guru for more than year now! I hope that my current readers and new readers learn to love CollegeFashionista as much as I do! My articles with go live every month but while you are frantically waiting for weeks on end for my posts, feel free to check out my older post along with other Style Guru columns from Ball State and around the country! Now let’s get this semester started, shall we?
