STYLE GURU BIO: Najwa Anasse

Hey everyone! My name is Najwa Anasse and I hail from the beautiful city of San Francisco, California. I am currently living it up in the small town of Middletown, Connecticut where I am a sophomore at Wesleyan University. I plan to double major in Neuroscience and East Asian Studies. I am also on both the cheerleading team and a club soccer. I love to travel and I am constantly going to new and different places. You might be wondering where fashion fits into my life at this point, and let me tell you it’s probably what I spend the most of my time on.

I love clothes (and shoes) and I especially love picking out outfits for all types of occasions. I am constantly looking on social media for inspiration from my favorite bloggers and style icons. Whether I am going to the library at two in the morning or to a formal, I always try to put together the best outfit I possibly can. The confidence you get when you feel good in your outfit is like no other, so I always try to look my best.

San Francisco, with its ever-changing style and mood, has had a strong influence on my personal style. My style is constantly changing. I go through phases a lot, sometimes boring and sometimes crazy depending on how I feel. With traveling all over the world, I also add bits of the worldly style into my wardrobe. The unique pieces I find while traveling are so amazing and the best part is that no one else can have the exact same piece.

The style phase I am going through now would probably be described as minimalistic, yet elegant. I love being comfortable and simple, but I also like looking really chic. I am a huge fan of neutrals, earth tones and black, of course, so I always incorporate that into my daily look.

What I have on is a black and white checkered black tank, that can be dressed up or dressed down. What I paired with this versatile print are sleek black shorts. I am also wearing the most comfortable shoes known to man right now, white Birkenstocks. I love Birkenstocks, especially since it is so hot on the East Coast right now and they are easy to slip on.  Finally, the last pieces of are my cute red orange Gucci bag and round tortoise shell sunglasses which pull the look together to give it a chicer effect.
