STYLE GURU BIO: Morgan McSweeney

I’ve lived my entire life on Cape Cod, Massachusetts where life feels like a vacation, ice cream is a food group and preppy style is something we are born with. For as long as I can remember fashion has been an interest of mine. I’m always looking at the newest trends, the next big brand and the classics that never go out of style. I’m not afraid of making an investment in a piece that I truly believe in.

I am a student at Bridgewater State University, which is located less than an hour away from the Cape and where I am able to carry my style and inspire others around campus. Last fall I started a fashion blog directed towards college students like me who have a passion for style, but who shop on a college budget. It has slowly grown successful since then and I’m so excited to share this fall’s trends with all of my followers and the CollegeFashionista world! At Bridgewater State we have a large variety of styles around campus, including city-style, classic laid-back college style and professional style and these all mesh together to create the exciting atmosphere that makes up our campus. I am eager to see and share how different students interpret this fall’s fads and make them their own.

I am currently entering my final year (eek!) of college and will be earning my degrees in both Sociology and Psychology. I have goals of attending graduate school but for now my studies and my love for fashion are carrying me through this upcoming semester! For this outfit I chose to mix a summer vibe with a fall vibe for a great transition ensemble. This striped sweater actually has the length to serve as a tunic and looks great over a pair of dark skinnies. These boyfriend shorts from Old Navy were one of my favorite purchases of the Summer. Also from Old Navy these amazing leopard ankle-strap flats just came in the mail last week and I couldn’t wait to set them up with a look for the fall! The mix of stripes and leopard is chic and perfect, I felt, for the in-between season. I threw a few gold accessories like my kate spade watch, this Kendra Scott cuff and this “Cedar Street Monday” cross-body bag from kate spade.

I hope that my work as a Style Guru can give readers a look at style from this part of the country and how it may differ from their’s! I’m so excited to share my semester with all of you.
