STYLE GURU BIO: Lizzy Baginski

Hey there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Lizzy Baginski, and I could not be more excited to have you visit my page. I was born and raised in the sunny state of Florida. My freshman year of college I attended Florida Gulf Coast University, but decided to transfer this upcoming year to Liberty University. Currently at Liberty, I am pursing a degree in business marketing with a minor in graphic design. In the future I hope to combine my love for business and fashion to work for the marketing department of an awesome fashion magazine company.

For as long as I can remember, fashion is something I’ve always been passionate about. I truly believe fashion is an art form and gives people a chance to express themselves without having to speak. My senior year of High school, I had the once in a lifetime opportunity to attend Teen Vogue’s Fashion University in New York City. I got to hear from speakers such as Jessica Simpson, Jason Wagenheim, Leandra Medine, Laurie Dejong, Tom Ford, and so many other amazing Teen Vogue editors. The advice I received was something that I will forever be grateful for because it gave me an understanding of all the behind-the-scene action that goes into the fashion industry. For as long as I can remember, fashion is something I’ve always been passionate about, but it wasn’t until attending Teen Vogues conference that solidified my love for fashion.

So with all that talk about fashion and style one might ask, what is my style? As cliché as it sounds, my style changes all the time. Trying to define my style is asking me to confine myself in a box. As Pharrell Williams says, “Fashion has to reflect who you are, what you feel at the moment, where you’re going.”  Some days my style ranges from bohemian, while others I look preppy/chic. However, no matter the “style”, my number one fashion rule is to feel comfortable in what you wear. That outfit that I’m wearing is a perfect example of something simple and comfortable I would wear to class. The olive green tank top is from a local boutique: the shorts are perfect for comfort since they are extremely flowy. My shoes are from Kate Spade, and of course, I had to add a touch of dainty jewelry because it’s the icing on the cake and makes an outfit look put together!

With all that being said, here on my page, I want to empower my readers to feel good about themselves. So no matter what your style is, I invite you to come along this journey as I share my love for fashion with all of you. Lets have a RAD semester.
