STYLE GURU BIO: Liz Smith

Hey guys! I am so excited to be back for my third semester here at CollegeFashionista. I was abroad last semester, but I am stoked to be back in America and getting back to Gettysburg College. I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I am a huge fan of the Pirmanti’s sandwich. If you do not know what that is, you will understand me a lot better when you do. I am a history major, and aspiring to get my teacher certification in Pennsylvania upon graduation.

When I was abroad and traveling, I was exposed to so many different styles and cultures. I found my style adapting to different pieces that I had spotted; I almost fell in love with everything I saw. Taking inspiration from different places, vibes, and cultures around me my style transformed as my heart and soul did.

My favorite trend is chokers. Whether they’re made out of lace, leather, velvet, or even jeweled, chokers have the ability to add a little something to an otherwise pretty basic look. As someone who normally dresses on the more simplistic side, this fad makes it easy  to look a little less boring. Honestly, my style is best described as a bunch of random pieces thrown together. You can typically catch me sporting ripped jeans, some sort of necklace, and my classic leather jacket.

My style inspiration is from social media. A big fashion inspiration for me is Claudia Sulewski from YouTube, as well as Arden Rose. Not only do I love everything that these girls stand for, but I love their personal styles and how they are not afraid to express themselves. Taking risks in a subtle in natural and organic light is what they advocate, and what I really look up to.

I am so excited to be a part of this #GuruGang this semester! Be sure to follow me on all of my social media links to keep up with me along the way.
