STYLE GURU BIO: Leila Orcutt

Hey y’all! I’m Leila Orcutt and I’m from Birmingham, Alabama, but I’m writing from good ole Tuscaloosa, where I currently attend the University of Alabama. I’m a Fashion Merchandising major and I have always loved fashion. I grew up with a passion to paint and draw, so I’ve always been very right-brained. I also have an aptitude for interior design. I’m starting my junior year this fall semester and I can’t wait to share my style with everyone!

If I had to describe my style in one word, I couldn’t! My style is ever-changing and I have a different look every time I wear clothes. I can look cutesy, boho, grunge, hippie, trendy and literally every word used to describe a style. Today, in my street style, I mixed trendy with chic. I am wearing a pair of origami shorts, otherwise known as a “skort,” paired with a sleeveless graphic T-shirt with a small knot, to add to the asymmetry of the outfit. I have on my favorite fringe booties with my Louis Vuitton in hand. My favorite way to accessorize necklaces is layering, so of course in my first entry I had to share this fashion trend with everyone. This is an outfit that can transition. For a casual lunch date, I would throw on my favorite pair of Chanel sunnies with this; but for a night out on the town, Rebel by MAC is a must.

With my versatile sense of style, I am excited for you guys to get to know me a little better. Hit me up with any questions or comments! I can’t wait for this semester with CollegeFashionista.
