STYLE GURU BIO: Lauren Dana

Greetings, Fashionistas! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Lauren Dana and I am currently freshman at Syracuse University. An aspiring journalist and pop culture and fashion fanatic, I have written for and edited the Entertainment section of my high school’s newspaper, and was also a student correspondent for my community’s local paper.
I am so excited to be blogging with you all and sharing my finds and the hidden gems across campus. I am confident that this internship will give me the opportunity to focus on my “passion for fashion” while also helping me to hone my writing skills by giving me real-world tasks and experiences.

My style has always been classic and laid-back. My go-to outfits include anything from a cute, patterned romper paired with a strappy bandeau top and crossbody purse (which can be seen in the pictures above this post) to skinny jeans, a cute top layered under a flannel and ankle boots. I enjoy catching up on the latest trends from the runway to red carpet and figuring out how to add them into my daily life.

Some of my hobbies include drinking coffee, shopping (of course!), hanging out with friends, writing and getting manicures (I love freshly polished nails!). My music tastes range from Drake to Zac Brown Band, but right now I’m really into pop. I love television as well. From Real Housewives to Grey’s Anatomy to Dexter and more; my tastes in shows also seem to be eclectic and unique. Moreover, the concept of “eclectic” is something I strive to achieve when it comes to fashion—trying to pair high and low items, statement pieces, mixing of metals and more.

As I adjust to college life this semester, I am looking forward to learning more about photography, online blogging and interacting with readers across the country. I will be sure to hunt down the latest trends and post them right here on the blog! I cannot wait to start this new and exciting chapter in my life. I am eager to hear your feedback and finding out the latest trends and coolest outfits on campus.
