STYLE GURU BIO: Kendall Finger

My name is Kendall Finger and this is my first semester as a Style Guru. I am so excited for such an awesome opportunity working with CollegeFashionista!

I am from Pensacola, Florida but I am currently in Oxford, Mississippi as a sophomore studying Integrated Marketing Communications with a minor in Business at the University of Mississippi (hotty toddy!). I am a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, as well as a few honors societies and other extracurricular clubs. I am currently on track to graduate in 2017 and hope to have a career in marketing or public relations in the future.

Some of my favorite things include pizza, giant sweaters, traveling and music. I love all kinds of music but if I had to choose, my favorite artists/bands would include Ben Howard, Kenny Chesney, Mumford & Sons, Arctic Monkeys and, of course, Dave Matthews Band. While living in Pensacola I worked for a boutique called Envie on Pensacola Beach for about three years with a team of about 15 other amazing girls. There I learned a lot about retail, merchandising and marketing. My experience there inspired me to pursue a career in the marketing or public relations side of fashion/retail after I graduate.

I had never really taken an outfit picture before now, but shoutout to my awesome roommate for making me feel not as awkward and playing the role of photographer. Here, I am wearing a super comfy and casual outfit. I actually wore the striped Forever 21 T-shirt to class earlier that day with a pair of running shorts and colorful tennis shoes. In this picture I paired the T-shirt with ripped boyfriend shorts from PacSun and gladiator sandals from Topshop. The necklace was purchased from Stella&Dot a few years ago but similar styles are available anywhere online. The bracelets are an everyday staple for me, mostly so I don’t lose them! The gold coordinate cuffs are from an Etsy shop called Lemon Lime Creations and can be customized with the coordinates/message of your choice. The other multi-tonal bangle and the morganite bangle are both by David Yurman. Adding cute shorts and a fun pair of shoes is a great way to dress up any T-shirt!

I can’t wait for an amazing semester with College Fashionista…hotty toddy!
