STYLE GURU BIO: Jordan Miller

Hey y’all! My name is Jordan and this is my second semester as a Style Guru. I had so much fun this summer working with CollegeFashionista and I can’t wait to see what else is in store. It’s officially fall semester which means I’m finally back on campus! I’m so excited to start spotting and capturing all the #RAD outfits here in Alabama.

To know a little bit about me, I’m a junior communication studies major with a minor in criminal justice. I have no clue what I’m doing with my life, (except maybe law school) but eventually I’m hoping it involves fashion and social media. I’m the Rituals Chair for my sorority, an ambassador for a study abroad program I participated in last summer and a nursery/preschool teacher at my church. While all of these things keep me very busy, I somehow still find time to watch Gilmore Girls on Netflix while eating my weight in Chinese food.

This fall, I am working on finding looks that are stylish but still lightweight and comfortable, as Alabama is H-O-T! Right now I am obsessed with Zara and this shirt I got from their new collection this summer in Italy. It looks great with jeans, shorts and even leggings. It’s comfy and lightweight, but still a bold look, with the combination of the stripes and the colored patches. This shirt made me want to experiment with even more mixing and matching so I added some fun blue tassel earrings. Even though there’s no blue in the shirt, it complemented the blue in my shorts. I’ve grown obsessed with these earrings and I’ve been adding them to more and more outfits of my wardrobe, even outfits you wouldn’t expect to see tassel earrings with. Seriously, they’re my new go-to. I got mine on Etsy a long time ago, but I found a similar (very affordable) pair here.

Lastly, I wore my trusty high-top converse because I actually feel lost without them. Either those or my adidas superstars. I cannot leave the house without sneakers, especially here in Alabama where we walk all over the planet just to get to class! They’re comfortable and stylish, and pretty much go with any outfit. Lastly, it’s not pictured but with this look I’d love to suggest a leather backpack. One that I wore with this outfit was from Zara (again, hehe) but it’s the perfect size and it looks amazing.

That’s it for now… if you see me on campus come say hi! You can probably catch me at the local Starbucks, sipping a Venti and pretending to study. I can’t wait for this semester to get going!
