STYLE GURU BIO: Jessica Romero

Hi there, and welcome to my bio! My name is Jessica and I am from the Bay Area, otherwise known as San Francisco, California. I am currently in my junior year at San Francisco State where I will be pursuing my career in Apparel Design and Merchandising and minoring in Marketing. Although I love love LOVE the Bay, I was proudly raised in the hot state of Arizona. Yay for dust storms! Therefore, my personality and style are very versatile. I can hang in a suburb area and have a great time or I can be walking the streets of San Francisco smothered by skyscrapers.

The great thing about living in a place like San Francisco is the style. I have always admired fashion and the evolution of style, but living in Arizona, I was not exposed to extreme individuality. Here in Frisco, I have been inspired by the city and the people because no one is afraid to express themselves. You have your polished, well dressed business people in Downtown, but then on the other side of the city you can run into your local skaters and bicyclists with a style of their own.

My style can be considered neutral with no restrictions, but always on the go. I am a person who loves to overwhelm herself with more than what I am probably physically able to do, so I have to be prepared for everything. That means I have to get ready for school and work in the mornings. I am also a Campus Correspondent for Her Campus San Francisco; therefore, my time is stretched thin. Here you can see one of my staple outfits which consists of black jeans, a white tank top and a denim jacket. You can never go wrong with some basics.

So, come along with me and let’s explore the great city of San Francisco and its beautifully unique Fashionistas. Let’s have a RAD fall semester, guys!
