STYLE GURU BIO: Jenna Scheffert

Hey Fashionistas! My name is Jenna Scheffert and this is my first semester with CollegeFashionista. I’m a current freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, pursuing a major in marketing and management with a specialization in Italian.

Last year I lived abroad in Venice, Italy where I attended a fashion high school completely in Italian. I learned how to make my own clothes as well as design haute couture pieces. At the end of the year my school put on a runway event where I was a featured artist. I had a model wearing the clothes I designed strut the runway. It was unreal!

I’m fluent in Italian and I aspire to work in a high-end Italian couture brand when I graduate. I would love to continue traveling and learning new languages. Of course, shopping is a top priority in every country and I have a keen eye for spotting international fashion trends.

I would consider my style a mixture of preppy, bohemian, and chic. My staple piece is my black jeans that pair well with my over-the-knee boots. I love to wear statement pieces as well, such as the frayed cape. With every outfit, I strive to enhance it with jewelry to give it that extra detail. I love feather necklaces as they give the outfit a finished bohemian style look. However, I like to add some preppy aspects to my outfits such as a collared white shirt or a cable knit sweater.

Here is a little about my style, but stay tuned for more about the style here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I’ll be capturing all things trendy here in the midwest.
