STYLE GURU BIO: Jasmine Mason

Hey friends! My name is Jasmine, and I am a junior at North Carolina State University majoring in fashion & textile management. I have lived in the Raleigh, North Carolina area for all of my life and I would not have it any other way. Going to NC State has brought about more opportunities than I could have ever imagined! From volunteering at New York Fashion Week to the various marketing opportunities with CEOs within the fashion industry, I have learned so much both professionally and academically!

I’ve had a “passion for fashion” for most of my life! My mom is extremely stylish, and prompted my creative expressions through fashion. Fashion is such an incredible outlet for any type of person! It has been quite a journey navigating the ins and outs of professional life; specifically professional life within the fashion industry. This career path that I have chosen is such a blessing and I am so excited to continue on this journey!

My style is not defined by one genre. My mood for the day partially determines my outfit! One day I may be feeling an all-black ensemble, and then the next day I could be loving an all-pink jumpsuit. You honestly never know with me. Nonetheless, I am very adamant about defining my style based on my personal preference. I try to shy away from styling myself based on what every other person are into. Of course I follow trends, but if I am not into a long purple dress with ruffles, then people will not see me in that! Free expression and originality are key!

I am so pumped to be a Style Guru this semester, and I hope I can provide inspiration to all of my lovely readers!

In this post, I wore a burnt Orange Blouse, Army Green Free People Jacket, Free People Jeans, and taupe booties.
