Hey Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Jane Shaughnessy and I am a sophomore at Illinois State University. I am 19 years old and I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I hope this fall you’ll follow me as I share my fashion knowledge and tips that I’ve taken from the Windy City to Smalltown, U.S.A.
I grew up wearing a uniform to school five days a week for 12 years. Wearing the same plaid skirt and polo shirt all the time really taught me to express myself through my style outside of school. I’ve loved shopping and fashion for as long as I can remember (it’s a bit of an unhealthy addiction). I appreciate a good pair of Steve Madden wedges, love vintage jean shorts and obsess over all things couture. The first time I saw a Harper’s Bazaar in my mailbox, it was love at first sight. I dream about Balmain’s pre-fall 2015 show and Céline handbags. As a college student, I really can only dream of owning such beautiful pieces so for now, I’m on a college kid’s budget with the mind of a millionaire.
I’m super excited to be writing to you this fall because it’s one of my favorite seasons for fashion! When I think about fall necessities I imagine fur vests, great jeans and an awesome pair of riding boots. I cannot wait to show my readers the many different styles that catch my eye throughout this season and leave them with fashion tips of their own.
