STYLE GURU BIO: Jamie Tran

Hello all my beautiful readers, I’m Jamie Tran and I live about 20 minutes outside the beautiful city of Boston, Massachusetts. I will be entering my junior year at Lasell College majoring in Fashion and Retail Merchandising. I’m super excited that this will be my first semester interning as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista.

First things first, some things you guys should know about myself are that black makes up 85 percent of my wardrobe, my guilty pleasure is continuously watching Youtube videos for hours on end and I get the most upset when beautiful outfits are wasted on insignificant and useless days.

Fashion will forever come before most things in my life. It is a passion, an obsession, a lifestyle. Perhaps this is the reason why I find myself constantly stalking beauty gurus and style bloggers or it is the cause of my never-ending shopping sprees and “add to cart” clicks (sorry Dad). I’m in denial with the statement of “you have too many clothes” because let’s be real Fashionistas/os, you can never have too many clothes. Lo Bosworth once said “everyday is a fashion show” and I enjoy treating it as so. To me there is no better feeling than when someone compliments your get up, total confidence booster.

Personally I take pride in having my own sense of style and I love pairing new and different pieces together. Fashion is about being unexpected and pushing out of your comfort zone, and it is the best when incorporated with the element of surprise. Pictured is a classic romper paired with some leather lace up wedges. The cutouts in these nude wedges make them a little edgier and I also added a metal belt for some extra glam. The felt hat brings in an additional bohemian vibe that I love.

I’m ecstatic to be able to share and showcase my love for fashion through the styles of Lasell College’s campus and myself as well. Follow me on my provided social media links and check back for more articles. Let’s make this a RAD semester!
