STYLE GURU BIO: Isabella Bisbal

Hey Fashionistas! My name is Isabella Bisbal, and I’m a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, going into my second year as an Advertising and Marketing Communications major. It’s my first semester at CollegeFashionista, and I can’t wait to be able to share my style with all of you.

I lived half my childhood in a small suburban town in Southern Maine, but that didn’t mean I was a small town girl. I wore heels to school when people would wear sneakers and riding boots. I was the type of girl to get up two hours before school to pick out my clothes and do my makeup. I dressed up everyday including finals week, so as you could guess, I definitely stood out amongst the rest. Fashion has always been a part of my life; I spend all my time checking YouTube to see if my favorite beauty gurus uploaded a new makeup tutorial or haul, as well as reading magazines like Vogue and ELLE.

I’d say my style is chic and trendy. I love neutral colors like black, white and gray; as you can see, my whole outfit is black. I like to wear any type of heel year-round and have a love for big purses. My style icons are Blake Lively and Kendall Jenner. My favorite brands include Topshop, Ted Baker and NASTY GAL.

This past summer, I had the opportunity to study abroad with F.I.T on a three week program called “Fashion in France and Italy.” I traveled to Paris, Milan, Florence and Como, and I got to experience first hand French and Italian couture, as well as ready-to-wear establishments, fashion accessory houses, fabric mills, design studios and museums.

Now that I told you all a little about me, I can’t wait to share with you all style straight from the Big Apple. Enjoy!
