STYLE GURU BIO: Gabrielle Thibault

Hi fellow Fashionistas! I am so excited to be back with the talented CollegeFashionista team for the fall semester. My name is Gabrielle Thibault, and I am about to begin my senior year at the University of Rhode Island where I am majoring in Textile, Merchandising and Design and minoring in Public Relations.

This summer was interesting to say the least. When I had first started as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, I had just come back from a whirlwind experience across the pond in London. Even though my time in London was short, (only four months to be exact), it completely changed me. I can easily say they were the greatest four months of my life. Not a day goes by where I don’t reminisce on my semester abroad and yearn to be back in the land of beautiful accents, architecture and even more beautiful people. It was a hard to adjust being back at home. Some of my fondest memories of Europe involve the people I would pass by day-to-day, and how they expressed themselves through their clothing. I still try to incorporate pieces of European fashion into my everyday outfits and wardrobe. I took every opportunity that came my way this summer to travel and explore the U.S. Traveling is a huge passion of mine, and I cannot wait to cross many more enchanting cities off of my bucket list one day.

Today I decided to keep things casual and classic in a navy gingham button-down and my go-to navy sandals. Layering necklaces is my new go to, and here you can see my gold coordinates bar. The coordinates are of London. On days when I’m just not feeling any inspiration from my European adventures to incorporate in my outfits, I can throw on my necklace and still feel at home.
