STYLE GURU BIO: Farheem Aziz

I am a new Style Guru on CollegeFashionista, and I am very excited for what this semester has to offer! I am finishing up my last semester at the University at Albany as a Communications major and double minor in Business and Philosophy. My passion for fashion, as cliché as that sounds, started at a very young age since I was born and raised in New York. Growing up so close to the city, I was always inspired by the variety of styles I would come across.

Last summer, I had the privilege of studying abroad in London and Paris. I took two fashion marketing courses and absolutely loved them! I also had the privilege of visiting Milan. I think it is safe to say that I am one lucky Fashionista; I traveled to the four main fashion capitals in the world! After graduation, I want to continue to travel, get inspired and share my adventures with everyone through blogging.

My style varies from one trend to the next. I tend to shop at a lot of thrift shops. Like most other college students, I’m ballin’ on a budget. In my outfit for this post, I bought my necklace at a fundraiser that was raising money to help the victims that suffered during the earthquake in Nepal, India. It is modern with a hint of vintage. I bought my sunglasses at a little boutique in the St. Marks neighborhood of N.Y.C. I was able to bargain with the guy to buy them for only seven dollars! Accessories are key when it comes to a casual outfit.

I am ecstatic to have this opportunity to work with other Fashionistas/os throughout the world that share the same passion as I do! There is always so much to learn and only so much you can do on your own. I hope you all enjoy my #RAD articles as I scope out the many Fashionistas/os at the University at Albany!
