STYLE GURU BIO: Falon Moran

Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Falon Moran, and I am currently a junior at Boston University majoring in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism and a minor in Political Science. I’m so excited to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this semester! I’m looking forward to sharing trends and styles from the streets of Boston with you.

I’ve always loved fashion from the time I was a little girl. I can remember various trips with my grandmother to different places just to look at different clothing and trends. Today, this same tradition carries on and I still consider my grandma my shopping partner and one of the trendiest ladies I know.

My style is a mix of several different elements: bohemian, chic and classic. I wear a lot of neutral colors and a lot of boots! Boots are my true fashion love. During the fall, winter and early spring, you typically will not find me without boots on. In addition to lots of boots, I typically always wear a watch. Watches are classic and useful! My other constant staple is what I consider my signature ring. As for inspiration, I am currently a Stylist at Free People, so a lot of my looks are inspired by the brand and the people I work with.

The outfit pictured here is my typical go-to look. Though the ripped-knee denim trend has been here for awhile, I am not tired of it! Black ripped jeans paired with a simple white T-shirt is an easy and cute outfit! The best part is, it’s so simple to add accessories to personalize your look. I tend to style soft bras with most of my outfits, too. I’ve recently fallen in love with hats, and this one is too cute for fall!

As a Journalism major, I can’t wait to share my upcoming work with you!
