STYLE GURU BIO: Faith Zwicker

Hi everyone! My name is Faith Zwicker and I am a junior studying fashion merchandising and fashion media at Kent State University. My main passion has always been fashion, and recently I have discovered another passion for writing. I am so grateful and excited to be able to share my passions while spending a fourth semester writing for College Fashionista!

After I completed my first year of college, my sense of style has been completely reshaped. Going from seven years of the same uniform everyday to a college with a growing fashion program was shocking and inspirational. I had never seen so many trends being worn in one place, every single day, by people the same age as me before. It is wonderful to be able to dress however or whatever style you want and not be seen as the overdressed, fashion person. Each day I like to wear something different, never sticking to one specific style; however, I usually take inspiration from coastal styles as well as retro, ’70s bohemian styles. Since starting college, my style has evolved even more to show who I am and I can’t wait to see what it transforms into over the next semester.

For this look I paired a ruffled, horizontally striped shirt with vertically striped skinny jeans. I love lace-up shoes, especially these low heeled, closed toes ones from Aldo that are perfect for warmer winter days. To pair these shoes with the look, I rolled up the ends of the skinny jeans. Adding accessories to this look, I chose a choker to continue the horizontal stripes in the shirt and a pair of round sunglasses. To finish the look, I added my vintage, black purse.

I hope you enjoyed this article and the look I styled! Be sure to follow me on social media to read more upcoming articles!
