STYLE GURU BIO: Courtney Kessler

Hello Fashionistas and Fashionistos, we meet again! I’m back to start my second semester for CollegeFashionista and dole out some ever contradictory style advice all of which centers around two things. Number one: if you believe you can pull it off, you can. It’s always about attitude and confidence (even if you’re faking it) is the best accessory for your #ootd every day. And number two: look good, feel good—it’s science!

I spent the summer getting into shenanigans including a risque motorcycle journey through the Rocky Mountains and spent some good ole family time on the sweet, sweet beaches of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Now gearing up for fall, I’ve got myself as busy as ever and putting more focus on my photography. Check it out, ladies and gents: C. Kessler Photo.

As always, eclecticism is the ultimate forte emanated in each C. Kess outfit, but with the easy breezy vibes the beach puts out (and lack for wanting sand all over everything), the way to go is comfy bohemian chic – comfy being the operative word. So it’s a big peasant top, intentionally two sizes too big and my favorite pair of high-waisted jean shorts. Topped off with some all-purpose aviator shades and a dark brown braided belt to pull it together. As we all know, it’s accessories that give an outfit its “umph.”

Though this summer was memorable and adventurous, I’m looking forward to beginning this fall with gusto and making some pretty cool things happen for myself and those around me. Check back for your monthly dose of rambling with a side order of who is lookin’ good in Wisco.
