Welcome to the loveliest village on the plains, where traditional Southern culture births a new artistic edge. I am enthralled to embark on this semester long adventure as a Style Guru for Auburn University. This collection of fashion musings will capture your heart in only the truest Southern way. I may even convince you we are good for a little more than just sweet tea and fried chicken.
I am the cliché small town Southern belle, with an accent to kill for and an opinion that will kill. Typing this makes me giggle as I am absolutely the complete and utter opposite. I was born and raised in the South, but feel more cultured than the typical small town cliché. An accent comes with the territory, but the open-minded free spirit found its way into my soul on its own. I am a passionate, determined, lover of all things beautiful and even sometimes the ugly, mysterious and misunderstood.
My style may always be changing, but it is the best way to capture a piece of my soul. Jet-black is my absolute favorite color and I had to throw on a pair of pleated leather shorts to add to the scandal. The season’s hottest sandal trend found its way into my closet with these black flatforms. Don’t hesitate to push the envelope and be you in every way possible.
