STYLE GURU BIO: Caitlin Corbin

Good day! My name is Caitlin Corbin, or CC or the girl eating froyo in the corner. Parsons the New School for Design in New York City has been my home away from home for over two years now, as I am beginning my junior year in the Design Management program. I love every second of my fast-paced, extraordinary adventures in the city and the incredibly diverse wardrobes on each corner.

Throughout my time in New York, I have interned in the fashion departments of Interview and ELLE magazine and the public relations departments of Marchesa and Tommy Hilfiger. This fall, I am overjoyed to begin an internship in the entertainment department of Dolce&Gabbana (hello, snazzy celebs!).

I dream of the day that I could successfully walk in heels without limping, but regardless, I adore very contemporary, neutral tones in my wardrobe with witty accessories. Coming from California, I love pieces that remind me of the relaxing ocean. At the same time, my clothing is also inspired by the energy of New York City. I just concluded a day of interning while taking these photographs, which is why I have on a business-casual pencil skirt from the Gap. You will see that I love dressing up my wrists with simple gold bracelets from and elevating my stride in comfortable wedges, both from Forever 21. I love shopping there, no matter how popular their merchandise is. It’s a great place to collect affordable gems.

As I have shadowed many editors throughout my internships, I am passionate about their creative processes that conceive beautiful photos. On the other hand, I have loved interning in public relations because you become so enveloped and supportive of a brand’s image. I am continuing to follow my dreams here in the fashion industry of New York and am ecstatic to see what the future holds. I hope you enjoy this digital scrapbook of my fashionable inspirations!
