STYLE GURU BIO: Briana Lerner

Hey Fashionistas! I’m Briana Lerner, but most people call me Bri! I’m currently a sophomore at University of Wisconsin – Madison and this is my first semester with CollegeFashionista. I’m majoring in strategic communications with a certificate (minor) in digital studies. My dream job would be to work in social media or public relations for a fashion or retail company, so an internship with CollegeFashionista is a perfect fit!

Personal style is important to me, because it can tell someone about you without saying a word. It isn’t necessary to be the most trendy person, but it’s more important to reflect how you feel. My fashion inspiration comes from a variety of sources, but I am especially inspired by Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid’s street styles. I also believe that you can pull off anything you want to, with a little daring confidence.

My style varies, but I like to strike a balance between comfort and looking put together. Just like in this outfit, I love to wear black, white, and denim. I paired an oversized vintage denim jacket that I got (took) from my mom with a sheer white shirt over a black bralette. I love anything oversized, and contrasting it with something more form-fitting, like black leggings. I also regularly accessorize with silver jewelry, especially jewelry that has sentimental value, like the necklace and bracelets that were gifts from my family. I also mix in some trendy jewelry, like a rhinestone choker. Since it’s winter here in Wisconsin and I like to stay as cozy as possible, I wore thick socks with black Timberland boots.

I’m super pumped to discover all the Fashionistas that Wisconsin has to offer this semester!
