Our patience has paid off, the beloved Netflix show Bridgerton hath returned. Just as juicy as Downton Abbey and as poetic as Gossip Girl, the popular television program we all love to gossip about, will surely captivate audiences with its second season. If you haven’t read the riveting book series yourself, here’s what to look forward to in the upcoming episodes. 

In summary, Anthony Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey, is looking to wed. Finding himself entangled with the Sharma family, it appears he’ll find one of the sisters suitable, but perhaps not the one everyone thinks. With the infamous Daphne Bridgerton, played by Phoebe Dynevor, making a swift return and the drama as enthralling as ever, I conclude that once again this series will be the talk of the social season. 

I don’t know about you, but this author came for the drama, and stayed for the fashion. One can’t walk through town without seeing a Bridgerton-inspired ensemble. Rightfully so, the garments of the Regency period are quite divine. Not as divine as Simon, played by Regé-Jean Page, but we’ll still hold out hope for a surprise appearance from his grace.

Besides, a girl in a gown always sways the town.

Gloves are an essential part of a ladies’ ensemble. The ton, what we call the high society, wouldn’t dare be seen at tea or a grand dinner party without the correct hand coverings. You never know who you might encounter, so it’s best to be ready for anything. Wear the classic white long gloves for a traditional look, or make things fun by wearing a pair with lace detailing. 

Pretty Pearls

Make haste to purchase this next item dear reader. Pearl jewels have become quite popular, being worn by high society all over town. Long or short in length, a pearl necklace is a pivotal key, adorning the ladies gown. Pearl earrings, bracelets, and pendants wouldn’t hurt either.

A good hairstyle makes or breaks a look. The diamond of the season must be perfect from head to toe, so start with the head and acquire hair decorations. Hair ribbons are expected, as well as crowns for balls and other special occasions. You’ll be the one to remember with a big updo and embellishments.
