Hi there! My name is Azucena, Azu for short. I am a sophomore at California Baptist University, studying broadcast journalism. I’ve always had a passion for beauty and fashion ever since I was a little girl. I’ve been told I used to change my outfit up to four times a day and apply lipstick around the clock when I was young; I guess some things don’t change! I’ve been a ballet dancer for sixteen years now and recently started teaching at a local dance studio in my home town. I love animals (cats and horses are my favorite), and I’m a part-time beauty queen. I’ve been competing in beauty pageants for the past four years.
I would describe my style as fancy casual. I believe strongly that is always best to be over dressed than underdressed. So dress it up girl! In an ideal world, I’d tower over everyone at 5’8”, but some things just don’t come true for some of us. A girl can still dream right? That’s why I’m always wearing some type of heel, whether that be chunky or stiletto. I’ve become somewhat of a pro at wearing heels. I prefer not to wear too many crazy colors; I like to stick to dark nude colors.
During the winter, and sometimes fall if it’s cold enough, I love to wear turtle necks. They’re so easy to dress up and affordable enough to have in every color! For this outfit I paired a nude turtleneck with a green bomber jacket, since they are in right now. For a subtle pop to the nude colors, I wore white jeans, and burgundy thigh high boots to go with the season.
