Greetings, Fashionistas/os! I am a senior at the University of Alabama, and I am studying Fashion Retail with a minor in General Business. I am so excited to be featured as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this fall! Because I am from the South, I look forward to showing you how Southern belles take on the fashion world.
Fashion has always played a big role in my life. In high school I was always the one testing trends. The result of my fashion experimenting followed me to college. My style is always about the layers, every outfit that I wear always has a layer. I guess you could summarize that I consider myself to be similar to an onion. Accessories play a key role in my wardrobe as well. I believe in the idea that a statement piece has to be the center of any outfit. Just like in my pictures above I will always put an emphasis on my accessories. This fall hats are my go-to. Hats are fun, flirty and really bring the picture together.
Since starting college and really getting to know the fashion scene, I have found an all new respect for my personal style. Fashion and style are two different categories and I want to relay that message through my articles this semester. In my articles I want to convey the message that style shows who you are and what you are about. Everyone has their own idea of style. We all come together because of fashion.
