STYLE GURU BIO: Anna Gavalick

Hello fellow Fashionistas! My name is Anna Gavalick and I am a sophomore Retail Merchandising student at Bradley University. This is my first semester here at CollegeFashionista. I am from a southwest suburb of Chicago, but love the urban setting. I am constantly visiting the city with friends or family whenever I get the chance. In the city, I can always find outfit inspiration around me. When at school in Peoria, there is a wide variety of styles seen on campus. With a diverse student body, there is a big opportunity to expand my knowledge on different cultures and styles. On campus, the styles range from trendy and chic to laid back and casual. I love being able to freely express my style on campus. I cannot wait to show how the Bradley campus expresses themselves through fashion.

As a Retail Merchandising major, I have a strong passion for the fashion world. I keep up with current trends by following fashion bloggers and fashion designers on social media. I am always on the lookout for new trends and how to style them to my personal liking. If asked about my personal style, I would describe it as classic with an edgy twist. I love experimenting with new fashions and mixing them with classic elements, like wearing a classic black T-shirt with high-waisted skinny jeans and throwing on a pair of modern fringe booties to finish off the look.

I love playing around with retro styles. My favorite fashion that is making a comeback is the simple style of  the‘70s. This fall, you can find me dawning a floral peasant top and a pair of flared jeans. You can rock any outfit if you have the confidence!

The fashion world is upbeat and constantly changing. I am always learning new things from fellow fashion obsessed classmates and friends. There is always something new to learn and I love that my style has room to grow. I am so excited to show you what I have in store this semester!
