STYLE GURU BIO: Andie Cabero

Hey there, fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Andie, and this is my second semester in the CollegeFashionista world. I am currently studying at Palomar Community College and majoring in Fashion Merchandising. I plan on transferring to California State University Long Beach in order to get my Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising and Designing. During my free time, I update my blog “Clothess-Minded,” go out to brunch, play around with my camera or go camping.

Growing up I loved nothing more than going to the store, walking along the endless amount of racks and reaching out to touch all the clothes. Fashion has always been a huge part of my life; I often enjoy drinking a nice cold brew coffee while reading blogs and magazines, so that I can keep up with the latest trends. Besides fashion and styling, another creative outlet for me is floristry. My mother taught me about all different kinds flowers, how to care for them and everything I know about floristry.

San Diego really does have the best weather, but as of late it has been a bit sporadic. It can be cold and rainy one minute, then bright and sunny the next. Summers are completely unbearable for me; I just do not do well in the heat at all. Luckily, there was a grace period of cooler air, so I could don my infamous denim jacket and black booties. As we all know, A-line skirts are all the rage, and I just so happened to find the perfect corduroy A-line skirt just in time for fall. I styled my skirt with a mock neck tank top and knotted it to make it look like a crop top, so it would flatter my frame a bit more.

My style is ever-changing. I’m like a chameleon; I can be in a cute girly sundresses one day then street style the next. That’s what I love about fashion as well. It’s always changing and never remains consistent. I am excited to see what trends this year will have in store for us, and I can’t wait to share it with you. Till then!
