STYLE GURU BIO: Amber Carlson

Another year, another bio! My name is Amber Carlson, and I am approaching my senior year (AH! I know I’m getting old!) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am a student in the Wisconsin School of Business but plan to pursue a career in the fashion styling industry. I am so excited to be starting my fifth semester interning with CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru. I am so excited to get back on campus this fall and see how everyone is embracing the upcoming fall trends! My experience with the CollegeFashionista team has been extremely rewarding thus far, so I cannot wait to see what this year has in store.

Although summer is definitely my favorite time of year, I am ready to jump back into fall fashion this semester. I am over shorts and sandals, so bring on the jeans and boots with oversized, comfy sweaters. Most of all, I am excited to see how ‘70s styles will continue to influence fashion this fall. I am so happy this style is sticking around for another season because the silhouettes are so fun and the textures are so different. I have my new Michael Kors extra flare jeans prepped and ready for the first chilly fall day!

Fashion may be one of my favorite things in life, but being back on campus this fall comes with many exciting things. I am not sure I can choose a top one between returning to Camp Randall for my final season of game days or spending Saturdays at the farmers market with my best friends.

Seeing as fall clothing is one of my favorite things in the world, I cannot wait to pick up some staple items for my wardrobe this season. As always I can never have enough oversized shirts and sweaters, not only are they comfortable, but they are also perfect for layering. One thing I have recently noticed is that my go-to pile of jeans is shrinking so I am hoping to find a new favorite pair this fall. Along with some to-die-for jeans, I am looking forward to discovering some perfect fall boots.

Follow along with my posts all semester to see what I find and how Fashionista/os around campus are rocking the fall fashion trends!
