Hello, Fashionistas/os! My name is Adriana Rivera, and this is my second semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I could not be more excited for the semester. I currently attend Kent State University,studying Fashion Design, while I am also minoring in Accessories and Costume Design. My passion started since I was younger and ever since then, I decided my life would be on the path revolved around fashion. Fashion, for me, has always been a form of wearable expression that can bend the rules from time to time, creating new trends from risk-taking ideas. As part of CollegeFashionista, I am able to really scope out the visual trends from the variety found on my local college campus!
Inspiration is found in endless avenues, from nature, itself, to the fashion weeks showcasing talented designers. From inspiration, I am able to develop a style that suits me. My personal style is dependent on how I want to evoke my character. I love to change my look according to the seasons and trends because I believe it is always great to freshen up a wardrobe from time to time. My essentials lately have been palazzo pants, halter-styled tops and gold accessories to pair. When in doubt, I add gold since it is an effortless way to match any metal.
