Hey, what’s up, hello! My name is Jaqlyn and I am a senior at the University of Delaware. This is my first experience being a Style Guru Intern for CollegeFashionista and I am ecstatic! Fall semester is going to be an amazing experience getting a grasp of the styles circulating around campus.

Aside from where I stand now in life, my roots come from a small rural area in the “lower slower” part of Delaware. That just might be the reason why my entire existence I have craved something more. Fast-paced and all-consuming to be exact. To fill this void, I fell in love with fashion and the thrill of travel. Or maybe this duo fell in love with me. Who knows!

I honestly can not even label my style. I never know what I feel like wearing until I wake up. I will go from sporting the most free flowing, printed dress paired with an oversized sun hat to ripped boyfriend jeans and an off-the-shoulder baggy T-shirt. Boho to tomboy real quick right? However, fall is my all time favorite season. I think all of us Fashionista/o’s know what that means; baggy sweaters, tons of beanies and an array of boots. Leading to why I chose to wear this flowy ensemble to mimic a classic fall look. The dark hues with gold accents are a dreamy combination in my opinion; while the large black hat adds a flare of street style.

Of course I have my favorite go-to brands. Old Navy is a MUST. They have the best staple pieces and earth tones pretty much all year round. That is precisely where I got my olive green maxi skirt and maroon blouse pictured above. Francesca’s Boutique is another stop I must make while shopping. The accessories they have are right up my alley. Bracelets, versatile earrings and handbags; hats, scarves and rings. You name it. Actually, this is where I purchased my adorable powder blue cross-body bag from! You should know- accessorizing is my absolute favorite. You can wear any outfit ten times over, but make it look completely unique depending on what you pair it with each time! It’s the little things.

All in all, this semester is going to be one for the books. Fashion is extremely dynamic and with that I can’t wait to share the vast range of Fashionista/o’s that inhabit the University of Delaware campus!
