STYLE ADVICE: Warm Winter Wardrobe

We all know that it becomes difficult to show off our style to the world when the temperature hits the 30s and we become forced to cover our outfits with a large, puffy, down-to-the-knees parka. I found a Fashionista that incorporated layers into her ensemble to ensure that she could still wear a jacket while keeping it open and staying warm. This is an easy way for a fellow style-obsessed individual to show off their look while also bearing the winter weather.

In this look, she takes a simple, black, long sleeve T-shirt and layers it with a thick beige poncho cape and a beautiful plaid scarf. The poncho and scarf combination adds a warm yet fashionable aspect to the look. From the waist down, she keeps it simple with black jeggings and some adorable light brown booties with a small heel. The booties ensure warmth and comfort when walking across campus.

Winter weather makes it difficult to show off a cute necklace since you most likely have a scarf (or two) wrapped around your neck. For a simple, yet adorable way to add some jewelry to your look, put a ring on it! A simple ring adds a delicate bit of shine to your look amongst the wool and cotton.

When the weather gets colder, it becomes harder to wear what you want while keeping yourself warm and comfortable, but this Fashionista has it down. So, the next time you are dreading stepping outside of your room, remember to put some layers on, add some cute booties, and slip on some simple jewelry—and be ready to face the day with your cutest look.
