STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Transitioning Your Wardrobe for Fall

This time in our life is all about transitions. And while we are all at different points in our lives, one thing is certain: we are all undergoing change—whether that means leaving the craziness that is high school and beginning college (which is even crazier), juggling 18 credit hours, a part-time job, an amazing internship and a booming social life, or just marching band and AP English. Or it means living on your own (which also means doing your own laundry—yikes) instead of in the comfort of your parent’s house—or even finishing college and starting a career. Life is constantly evolving around us and mother nature is reminding us of this right now.

As summer fades into fall, a beautiful transition period begins. Fall will forever be my favorite season, even though it seems to last just a few weeks here in Ohio. But as the leaves change, the cider is made and the temperatures hover around a perfect 65 degrees; I swear I’m my absolute happiest during those few weeks.

Fall fashion will always be the most versatile: you get to mix your favorite summer pieces with fall staples. It’s not quite cold enough that you need to dress for the weather, but it’s not too hot for boots and a scarf. This Fashionista rocked that combination perfectly! While a crop top sweater won’t keep you very warm in the cold, it sure will look adorable and give the illusion of longer legs. The rolled sleeves and laced up sides were just added perks.

Her jeans really helped complete the look, and give it a cool and casual vibe that’s perfect for anything—from going to class to hanging out in a friend’s dorm.

Flats will never go out of style, and this pair is no exception. They’re sturdy enough to walk to class in, but dress the outfit up more than sneakers.

Fall is such a perfect time to get in touch with your inner runway model, so break out the crop top sweaters, jean jackets, riding boots and scarves, and show the world how amazingly rad you are!
