STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: These Boots Were Made for Strutting

November 4th, 2016 at 2:05am

Cold weather is finally starting to creep in! Fall is my absolute favorite season and I could not be any more excited for it’s arrival. Not only can you wear your foundation without it melting off your face, but it’s also the perfect time to step up your fashion game.

This season it’s all about the knee-high and over-the-knee boots. I always thought I couldn’t wear this trend because I have thicker thighs. Turns out the trend is super flattering on every body type! The boots are definitely the star of the show in this outfit. This Fashionista is rocking an adorable black pair that come just over the knee. These boots are versatile enough that they can be dressed up or down, so there is no reason not to wear them everyday! Over-the-knee boots make any ensemble look like you put a lot more effort into it than you did.

The deep maroon shawl is the perfect standout fall piece. It also breaks up all the black in this outfit to give it a little more dimension. This Fashionista paired the shawl with a black swing dress underneath. The shortness of the dress is balanced out well with the long boots. Simple gold hoop earrings and a few rings add just the right amount of accessories for an on-the-go fall outfit. To top it off, the Fashionista added a felt hat with black and white detailing around the top. All together, the outfit gives off major “London, city girl in autumn” vibes.

Dark colors are my thing, so this outfit is really speaking to me. I can just picture her going to the pumpkin patch or strutting through a haunted house. This outfit is also perfect for a multitude of other occasions as well. All the different pieces of the outfit are basic enough that they can be paired with just about any other article of clothing. All together, this outfit is the quintessential fall look.
