STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: The Bomb(er) Dot Com

Bomber jackets have been seen on every runway, from Stella McCartney to Gucci and Vetements to Saint Laurent. It’s become abundantly clear that the bomber is the jacket of the moment, and will continue to be throughout the year. They can be layered for finicky spring temperatures, or worn alone for slightly warmer weather. What’s even better about bomber jackets is that you don’t have to splurge in order to get a nice one. Zara and Topshop have amazing styles in solid colors or embroidered floral patterns for a bomber jacket on a budget.

This Fashionisto layered his colorful bomber over a simple black jacket to add warmth without detracting from the look. He skillfully mixed a bold pattern with a bold color by keeping the rest of his outfit neutral. Although bold, his printed pants are in black and white, and not in color, making them easier to mix with other colors while still making a statement.

A basic black T-shirt and white Converse sneakers are casual and cool, along with his black square-frame Illesteva glasses, which adds a modern element to an ensemble mostly made up of vintage clothing. His sneakers are from the 1980s, and his colorful bomber is a vintage Cross Colours design.

While his bomber jacket is definitely the focal point of the outfit, his favorite piece is actually his 3.1 Phillip Lim “Pashli” satchel. It is his go-to bag, and he claims he uses it almost every day. The size is perfect for carrying anything you could need for work or an internship, but it is also chic enough to be carried at night.
