STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Sweater Weather

As the air begins to crisp and the temperature starts to drop, you can say it’s officially boot and sweater weather here in New England.

This Fashionista rocks a comfy ruffle sweater, which is perfect for the fall weather. Ruffles are a great way to dress your look up, making it a great choice for class, a night out and dinner with friends. Also, the ruffles look amazing underneath any jacket or coat, so when the weather doesn’t permit wearing a thin sweater, you won’t have to worry. Accessory wise, you should always keep it simple when wearing a sweater. This Fashionista choose a gold watch and pearl earrings in effort to avoid detracting attention away from her ruffles. Sweater wise, the simpler the better.

Boots are a fall essential as well. Be careful when selecting them because a boot that is too simple can dress down a look and make it dull or boring. This Fashionista kept it interesting by pairing her look with boots that have a pop of color down the back. The color pulls the outfit together, while creating a fun yet sophisticated look.

Showing a different color sock underneath your boots is another fashion must. This Fashionista chose a gray sock to peep out underneath. You can choose any fall color, such as tan, maroon, gray, beige, navy or even a light pink or white for your own look. A sock that shows not only completes the look but also keeps you extra cozy and warm.

What is your STYLE ADVICE FOR THE WEEK? “Always dress for the season but don’t be afraid to add pops of color whenever possible for a perfect fall look.”
