STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Riding Into Fall

Living in the Northeast, it can be a very stressful activity looking in your closet every morning. However, I find the students at Siena College do a pretty good job of dealing with the mood swings that are the weather. Over the last few weeks, the fall attire has been slowly, but surely finding its way out onto campus. For a lot of students and fellow Fashionistas it’s not only about looking good, but it is about feeling good, too. To feel good in the Northeast during the fall, a lady must have two essential things in her closet—a big sweater or cardigan and a trusted pair of riding boots.

This Fashionista’s outfit stood out to me because it is a perfect culmination of summer and fall. I love how she paired her floral tank top with an oversized sweater and riding boots. My favorite fall fashion item has to be riding boots. A great pair of riding boots completes any outfit and this Fashionista proves this perfectly. By pairing the light brown leather boots with the color scheme in the rest of her outfit, she captured the rich colors that come along with the changing of summer to fall. When I first saw her boots, my first reaction was of course, “where did you get those?”. The knee-high boots are the staple of her outfit; you could tell that she was not only comfortable in them, but she felt great in them, too.

This Fashionista loves her cozy sweater, which she pairs with a soft, cotton tank top. She paired her open cardigan and floral tank top with high-waisted American Eagle Outfitters jeans and her brown riding boots. For accessories, she is wearing Alex and Ani chain bracelets and Cole Haan sunglasses.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I just like to be comfortable, which is why I wore my big sweater and my riding boots. Plus, this was a good outfit to wear to class or to go out to dinner in after.”
