Now that we’re into October, pumpkin-flavored everything is out in full force. Lattes, muffins, Oreos… the list goes on and on. This includes fashion as well. The rusty orange color, which is reminiscent of your morning lattes, is going to be a huge trend this season. How can a pumpkin spice-obsessed Fashionista resist?

What I loved most about this Fashionista’s look was her rust-colored, suede, overall dress. Overalls are another huge trend right now, and she was able to take them from tomboy to flirty by selecting a suede dress as opposed to your classic denim overalls, which can look grungy and masculine.

Layering is another key interest point of her look. While most Fashionistas might have chosen a solid top to wear underneath their overall dress, this Fashionista selected a black and white striped T-shirt, which made for a great contrast to her dress. Every fall outfit also needs a third piece (i.e. jacket), so she added an olive green trench, another popular fall item in a autumnal color.

The jacket also comes in handy from protecting her from the crazy winds in northern England. Since the University of Sunderland is right on the River Wear and the North Sea, items like tights are a necessity. The 50- to 60-degree weather demands basics like those. Her spice-colored booties are also a staple piece that will take her through fall and winter, but the zipper detail on the side adds something special to her pair.

This Fashionista put together the perfect fall look by layering up with popular autumnal colors and silhouettes. Her look is totally on trend, and she’s ready to take on class in style this season. So try adding some pumpkin spice to your wardrobe and not just your latte this fall.
