STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Progressing into Fall

With the fall season just upon us, many of us out there are struggling with what to wear in  these awkward temperatures. It’s the time of year when it is still too warm for heavy sweaters, but just chilly enough that wearing your favorite summer sandals are out of the question. Walking around campus this week though I found a fellow Fashionista who demonstrated the perfect outfit for the season among us, and not just in her clothing choice, but also in her accessory choice!

This Fashionista is wearing a pair of dark washed blue jeans, a quarter sleeved all black shirt, a white and black plaid button down tied around her waist and black booties. The jeans are an obvious choice for this time of year. You do not want to be wearing shorts, as you’ll find yourself being way too cold, jeans are perfect and can be styled with anything. Her black quarter sleeve shirt was an awesome choice as well. This shirt allows her to be comfortable, and not too hot as she’d be if she was wearing a knit sweater. The plaid button down tied around her waist adds as a great accent piece, and spices up the look, not to mention it could even be used just in case she got chilly. Her black booties serve as the perfect footwear. The booties do not have the winter look to them as some high leather boots sometimes have and they keep her feet warm as well as stylish.

As for this Fashionista’s accessory choice, she has on a black choker which is one of the hottest trends right now. She also has on cute rings that color match her outfit and a kate spade watch. These accessories help pull the whole outfit and look together. You can never go wrong with adding some accessories to an outfit.

I hope this Fashionista’s look gave some inspiration to anyone out there struggling with the colder temperature change. A look like this or anything interchangeable that could still give you this comfort in the weather is definitely my advice as of what to wear as we start progressing into the fall season.
