STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Falling for Pops of Color

It’s back-to-school season which means shifting our wardrobe from summer clothing to warmer fall appropriate clothing. For some, this means stowing away our beloved dresses and skirts in the back of our closet. However, there may still be a way to wear those favorite pieces even when the temperature starts to drop. This Fashionista was able to turn her floral romper into a fall staple by layering and adding pops of color.

Instead of just throwing a comfy cardigan over her romper, this Fashionista chose to go with a faux fur vest. The contrast of the colors in the floral pattern with the darker colors in the vest proved to be an intriguing combination. What caught my eye the most was the bold color from her bright yellow sneakers. It’s easy to slip on a black pair of shoes that goes with almost anything, but sometimes it’s better to take a risk.

Adding this pop of color really changed up the whole style of the outfit. Instead of being girly or glamorous, the sneakers gave the outfit a more casual, daring and urban vibe. Her bold lip and denim pouch were other unexpected elements that really brought this look to life.

This ensemble combines the bright colors of summer as well as the textures and warm feeling of autumn. It’s the perfect look to rock when class starts again.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Don’t be afraid of being bold and stepping out of the box when picking out an outfit. Knowing that you’re setting yourself apart from the crowd will give you the confidence to top off any look.”
