STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fall Weather Has Been Felt

Fall weather is in full force this week with leaves starting to shift color, the temperature dropping and pumpkin flavors popping up at all of the local coffee shops. With fall finally here I have spotted new seasonally appropriate trends hitting campus. This Fashionista rocks one of the best trends for fall, a felt hat.

One of the biggest trends this fall is felt hats, seen throughout the Zuhair Murad 2016 Couture Collection. I love how this Fashionista incorporated a component from a couture collection into her everyday look, which can sometimes be difficult to do. She wore a long sleeve, lace-up front floral print dress, paired with knee-high black boots. To finish off the look she added the black felt hat.

Incorporating this trend into your everyday outfit is simple; just look at this Fashionista for example. If your style is more casual, this hat will pair well with boyfriend jeans, adidas Originals and a tight sweater. The great part about this trend is its versatility, especially when your look may need to transform from class during the day to a dinner date at night. Or for those who love to rock day two or three hair, this hat will be your lifesaver. When choosing the perfect felt hat for yourself I recommend picking one in a neutral color so it can easily be paired with whatever your outfit for the day may be. If you’re looking for a statement hat, then opt for one in a color like burgundy, which is always a great fall color. Whatever color you choose, this hat is sure to be an essential part of your fall wardrobe.
