STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Fall Into These Layers

September 21st, 2015 at 2:00am

We’ve all had those days where we wake up in the morning and feel that flustered panic where we don’t know what to wear. With the back to school season coming in hot, our outfits must do the same. A great way to pull together a super trendy outfit is to find separates in your closet and piece them together just as this Fashionista did.

Simple yet edgy, this look can easily be recreated from everyday pieces we all have in our own closets. On top, this Fashionista took a basic white T-shirt and paired it with a solid color maxi skirt. To add some flare to this basic top, she knotted it around itself, which seems to be a flowing trend recently seen with looser cotton shirts. To add another pop of color she added a forest green knit cardigan, perfect for the chilly fall nights.

On this Fashionista’s feet were some fall essential tall socks that fell right into the color spectrum for this season. You can’t go wrong with anything burgundy during these months. She also wore some spunky boots and a trending choker (let’s bring back the ’90s) creating a cute, comfy and casual look. We all know those early mornings make for a huge struggle on the outfit train so throw these simple pieces together and you’re good to go.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I really like being comfy especially when I’m going to be in class all day but you have to stay trendy too. I love simple outfits like these where I can just throw it on, mix and match, and just head out the door.”
