STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Comfy, Cozy, Suede

These past few runway seasons have been overloaded with denim, fringe and suede of all kinds. Pulling inspiration from past decades, designers have been incorporating many fashion trends of the ’70s. Suede has been all over this season’s clothing racks. Jackets, shoes, skirts and tops—you name it and I bet you can find it in suede. 2015 is heading out with a modernized blast from the past.

With finals coming up it’s hard to stay fashionable. Many students can be caught in class sporting their slouchy joggers and oversized sweatshirt. This Fashionista, however, has it down pat spicing up a classic look with one of this year’s favorite textures. Instead of just your typical plain T-shirt, we see hear the perfect use of a suede crop top. Matched with Dr. Martens and high-waisted black denim, this look is both casual and stylish. This December has been a warm one in NYC, the addition of a denim jacket is just another great style move.

It’s a fashionable look to compile without having to plan the night before. While heading to the studio to finish that last photography shoot or running to the student lounge for a late night cramming, the perfect outfit should be the last thing on your mind. Adding simple pieces to your wardrobe with the latest fashions you can recreate your favorite go-to look into something trendy.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “I like to keep it casual—and with finals this week, definitely something quick and comfortable.”
