STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Boots, Skulls And Sculptures

April 2nd, 2015 at 2:00am

The first thing that came to mind when I got a closer look at this Fashionista’s outfit was that every item she was wearing was of a different style and season. Once we started discussing her style choices, she coined her look as being “a fusion of the seasons.” Hey, there’s nothing wrong with having an open closet that is good for all year long, and there’s no problem with showing your favorite fall and winter boots a little more love until sandals have officially taken their place. Her boots were exactly what made this outfit so interesting.

As the sun starts to shine a little brighter and our days consist of carrying our jackets around campus in the late afternoons, boots are still an accessory that can most definitely still be worn in spring and summer with skirts, shorts and dresses. Different boot favorites are grunge, boho and classic.

This Fashionista brought the different seasons and styles into play with her black-fringed kimono, colorful printed leggings and wrap headband, which all displayed a summery boho ambiance. Her black printed skull T-shirt exposed a sense of grunge and edginess to her look. She finished off by accessorizing with classic items such as her black riding boots and gold-framed aviator sunglasses. It just happened that the sculptures in the back matched her leggings seamlessly; a picture perfect vibrant scene for a unique style that does not go unnoticed indeed.
