STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Back To Basics

Between spring cleaning, preparing for finals and sending home coats and scarves, spring is the perfect time to de-clutter and refocus. Of course, though, one of the most difficult things to purge every year is the wardrobe. Even though spring weather is unpredictable in Philadelphia (snow in April? What?), Temple University Fashionistas are ditching clunky layers and winter wear for fresh spring basics.

This Fashionista chose a classic white button-down and paired it with her favorite dark wash jeans and fun, nautical-patterned flats to coax out the sun. With the sun finally shining and finals just around the corner, her crisp blouse and summery shoes acted as a much-needed breath of fashionable fresh air.

In particular, this Fashionista’s sailboat patterned flats are perfect for keeping her sights on summer and walking around campus. Her casually, preppy look is effortless but cute, perfect for class or grabbing lunch outside. This Fashionista wore her outfit to class and to work. Easy but cute casual wear should be every Fashionista’s go-to for spring; it’s the season to start letting loose and getting back outside!

Our Fashionista accessorized with her favorite black sunglasses, simple and elegant jewelry and of course, her favorite hot pink jacket to stay warm during the chilly spring morning. Her simple, easy to achieve look is perfect for any Fashionista struggling to stay stylish during the transitions months.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Keep it simple! If you’re not sure what to wear or just haven’t gone spring shopping yet, you can never go wrong with your classic pieces.”
